Trenton, Gibson County, Tennessee

Dr. T.K. Happel commissioned the construction of an gazebo in 1896 for his wife and her friends to have a shady place to rest when taking their Sunday afternoon strolls. The lumber came from Partee Mill Works Co. and was built by A. F. Hight.

According to an article from the Trenton Herald Democrat paper (April 17, 1896), the Ladies Cemetery Association requested the city council to make an appropriation for this project which had already begun.
